In the 2024-25 school year, Chattahoochee County Education Center enrolled 25 multiracial students, maintaining the same enrollment as in the prior year, reports the Georgia Department of Education.

According to available data, Chattahoochee County Education Center reported a total enrollment of 236 students for the 2024-25 school year. Within this population, multiracial students constituted 11%, positioning them as the school’s second-smallest demographic.

This school is part of the Chattahoochee County School District, whose central office is in Cusseta.

Of all three Chattahoochee County School District institutions, Chattahoochee County High School had the largest group of multiracial students in the 2024-25 school year, totaling 36 enrolled students.

The National Center for Education Statistics indicated that Georgia’s public school student demographics were approximately 36.4% Black, 35.9% white, 18.1% Hispanic, 4% Asian, 4.6% multiracial, 0.2% American Indian or Alaska Native, and 0.1% Pacific Islander.

Chronic absenteeism continues to pose challenges for Georgia schools after the pandemic, with 20.7% of students absent for at least 10% of days in 2024, the Georgia Department of Education reported. To address this, GaDOE has introduced a statewide initiative featuring an attendance dashboard, an awareness campaign, and focused assistance for districts with the greatest need in order to strengthen daily attendance.

Additionally, in 2025, state legislators approved an update to school attendance statutes, prohibiting expulsion for absenteeism as the sole reason. The measure also mandates expanded reporting and coordinates with programs enabling students to earn a diploma through alternative avenues.

By 2026, Georgia’s average student-to-teacher ratio reached approximately 14:1, improving upon the national ratio of 15:1.
