The Chattahoochee County School District announced on April 6 that it is observing Assistant Principal Appreciation Week from April 6 to April 10.

The week aims to recognize the contributions of assistant principals who play a key role in supporting students, staff, and the broader community. Their work is often not visible but has a significant impact on daily school operations and student success.

According to the announcement, “Thank you to our incredible assistant principals for your leadership, dedication, and unwavering support for our students, staff, and community. Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt every single day.”

The district named four assistant principals being honored: Mr. Michael Nixon at Chattahoochee County High School (CCHS), Dr. Kizzy Clayton at CCHS, Mr. Kason Cox at Chattahoochee County Middle School (CCMS), and Mrs. Sarita Griggs at Chattahoochee County Education Center (CCEC).

“We appreciate all that you do to make ChattCo a place where everyone can grow, succeed, and thrive,” the statement said.

This recognition highlights the important role of assistant principals in maintaining an environment focused on growth and achievement within the district.
