The Chattahoochee County School District recognized School Nutrition Appreciation Day on May 1, thanking its school nutrition team for their dedication and service. The district expressed gratitude to staff members who prepare meals for students every day.

School Nutrition Appreciation Day highlights the important role that school nutrition teams play in supporting students’ health and well-being. The recognition aims to honor the efforts of those who contribute to a positive learning environment by providing nutritious meals.

In a statement, the district said, “To our dedicated School Nutrition Team, thank you for the care, energy, and heart you put into every meal you serve. You do so much more than prepare food; you fuel learning, support our students’ well-being, and create a welcoming space each and every day.”

The message continued with appreciation for staff contributions: “We appreciate your hard work, your kindness, and the difference you make in our school community. Happy School Lunch Hero Appreciation Day!”

This annual event serves as an opportunity for schools across the country to recognize those who help ensure that students have access to healthy meals during the school day.
