Harris County will hold its first “Hotdogs & Homesteads” event on Friday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tax Assessors office. The event aims to help residents who have not yet applied for their homestead exemption. Attendees can receive information and assistance with their applications.

In addition to homestead application support, Harris County Animal Control will be present with adoptable dogs available for those interested in pet adoption.

The event is open to all visitors to the courthouse, regardless of the purpose of their visit. Organizers encourage everyone to stop by the grill area where staff can check homestead status while serving hotdogs and water.

“This event is fully sponsored by some of our amazing local businesses and is being provided at no cost to the taxpayers!”

For further details or questions, residents are advised to contact the Tax Assessors office at (706) 628-5171.
