Magnolia Manor of Columbus Nursing Center – East ties as Muscogee County’s largest nursing home in Q1

During the first quarter of 2026, Magnolia Manor of Columbus Nursing Center – East was recognized as one of the two largest nursing homes in Muscogee County, matching the size of River Towne Center, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The facility counted 210 available beds, surpassing the county average by 52 beds as of the first quarter of 2026. On average, the nursing center provided care for 84.9 residents during this timeframe.

The CMS awarded Magnolia Manor of Columbus Nursing Center – East an overall rating of 2 out of 5, which is below Georgia’s nursing home average rating of 2.7.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
