South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) recently held a workshop on stress management for students on the college’s Americus campus. SGTC Psychology Instructor Dr. Michelle Williams-Seay facilitated the workshop, which was held in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center.
South Georgia Technical College’s licensed practical nursing (LPN) students from both the Americus and the Crisp County Center campus have achieved a 100% first time pass rate for the 2021 National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
The South Georgia Technical College Board of Directors was recognized as a fully certified board at the Technical College Directors Association and the Technical College Foundation Association Leadership conference in Savannah recently.
“It was not pretty, but it was a win and something to build on,” said South Georgia Technical College Athletic Director and Lady Jets head basketball coach James Frey after his team blew an early 24 – 5 lead but hung on to take an 81 – 76 victory over USC Salkehatchie in their first game of the 2021 – 2022 season.
There were no new teachers in Pine Mountain who signed the pledge in week ending Nov. 6, according to an online pledge from the Zinn Education Project.
