County of Harris issued the following announcement on Sept. 15.
After many months of preparation, public meetings, and updates, the draft Unified Development Code (UDC) is now ready for public review and comments. Comments can be made on the official project email listed on the official project page.
The first reading (public hearing) of the UDC is scheduled for Wednesday, October 20 beginning at 7 p.m. before the Planning Commission in Room 223 at the county courthouse, 102 North College Street in Hamilton. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in this public hearing.
The second reading (public hearing) and final adoption is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2 beginning at 6:30 p.m. before the Board of Commissioners in Room 223 at the county courthouse, 102 N. College Street in Hamilton. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in this public hearing.
If approved, the new UDC will go into effect on Tuesday, November 16.
