County of Harris issued the following announcement on Sept. 20.
The Harris County Water Works Office, located at 11505 SR 315 in Cataula, has temporarily closed effective Monday, Sept. 20 due to a COVID-19 outbreak. The office will reopen on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 8:00 a.m.
While the office is closed, the telephones will still be answered and new water service will still be available. However, on-site payments cannot be accepted. Please pay your water bill on-line, by phone, by U.S. mail, or use the 24/7 drop box located at the county administration building. Below is the link to view the different payment options. There will be no water cut-offs during this temporary closure and late payments may be assessed a late fee since other payment options are offered.
