See Something, Say Something

UPDATE 8/26/2022, 11:36 a.m.: Regarding the online threat made to HCHS late on Thursday, August 25, 2022, the Harris County High School (HCHS) administration and the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) have been working with the FBI. It has been confirmed the post is identical to at least five online threats made to other schools and this threat is a hoax. The suspect has randomly chosen names from Instagram accounts to create this fake threat. In our case, the suspect stole the identity of Gavin Mardis to post this fake threat. In the post, the suspect listed HCHS as well as the names of specific students as potential targets. It is confirmed there is absolutely no threat to HCHS or any of our students. Gavin and all students named are safe. Please know Gavin and the other students mentioned are all victims in this hoax. Join HCHS in extending the Harris County family arm of support to these students.
