Columbus State University is among the 24 University System of Georgia (USG) institutions allowed recently to continue temporarily waiving test score requirements for the 2023-24 academic year. The extension of this waiver, approved recently by the USG, applies to undergraduate student applications for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters.
“Test-optional” admissions criteria applies to prospective students who:
- Have a high school of grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the required high school curriculum.
- Hold a 2.2 or better GPA if residing in one of the following counties: Chattahoochee, Harris, Marion, Meriwether, Muscogee, Stewart, Talbot, Taylor or Troup counties. The test-optional path is not available to dual-enrollment applicants. They must meet minimum requirements on one of the following tests: PSAT, SAT, ACT, pre-ACT or Accuplacer.
In addition, standardized test scores continue to be required of all students applying for Zell Miller Scholarships.
