We have received reports of citizens receiving unsolicited phone calls seeking bail money for relatives. Reports include scammers requesting individuals make a payment over the phone for a loved one's bail.
Crisp County Sheriff's Office will never call and ask for bail payment over the phone. THIS IS A SCAM! We advise everyone to use discretion with unsolicited, cold calls, EVEN IF the caller's identity is disguised as a local business or government. Please do not release any personal information over the phone.
