On Wednesday, March 6, former Valdosta High School standout Avery Stephens’ current college team, the Columbus State Cougars, won 8-7 in their NCAA Division II game against the Montevallo Falcons.

The game took place in Columbus, Georgia. This was their first matchup against the Montevallo Falcons this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 8 at 6 p.m. in St. Augustine, Florida against Flagler Saints.
