Dooly County Schools: Dooly County Elementary School welcomed most students in 2022-23 school year

Dooly County Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Dooly County schools, welcoming 457 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50% of them were male, and 50% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were Black, representing 68% of the Dooly County Elementary School total enrollment.

Among the three schools in Dooly County, Dooly County High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 342 students, while Dooly County Middle School welcomed 253 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Dooly County Elementary School is part of Dooly County School District, which generally encompasses schools within Dooly County, with its main office in Pinehurst.

In the previous school year, Dooly County Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Dooly County schools.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
