County of Harris issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
Harris County is accepting bids for the reroofing of the Harris County Prison and consisting of the removal of approximately 14,603 square feet of existing roofing and installing new insulation, 60 mil fully adhered TPO roof system, and accessories as detailed in the project manual. Project is to be performed in coordination with and under the supervision of the project consultant, 2WR Architect. The mandatory pre-bid conference will be held Friday, September 10, at 2:00 PM, at the Harris County Prison, located at 9982 GA Highway 116, Hamilton, GA. Project bid documents may be obtained by contacting Scott Allen of 2WR, at scott@2wrarch.com or 706-571-6923. Bids, which, must be in sealed envelopes and mailed or delivered to the attention of County Clerk at Harris County Administration Building, 104 N. College Street, PO Box 365, Hamilton, GA 31811, must be received by 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 30, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that their bid arrives at the proper location by the time and date indicated. Facsimile, e-mail, telephone and/or late bids will not be accepted or considered. While the County anticipates award to the lowest reliable bidder, it also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and to solicit and re-advertise for new bids.
