The budgeting process for the fiscal year 2025-26 is underway, with several key dates outlined for public participation and review. The proposed budget will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners on May 6, 2025. This submission will include a budget workshop and the proposal will be accessible at the County Administration Building and online.

Following this, additional budget workshops are scheduled for May 13, 20, and 27, 2025. These sessions involve discussions between the Board of Commissioners and county staff regarding the proposed budget.

Public involvement is encouraged during two public hearings. The first hearing is set for June 3, 2025, where citizen comments will be collected during a commission meeting. A second hearing is planned for June 17, 2025, coinciding with the adoption of the budget resolution.

The new fiscal year budget will take effect on July 1, 2025, and remain in place until June 30, 2026. Residents are urged to participate in these discussions to ensure their voices are heard. Updates and detailed documents can be found on the county's website.

Additionally, public hearings for comments on next year's proposed budget are scheduled for June 4 and June 18, 2024. For questions or concerns about these processes or meetings, residents can contact the Administration Department at the provided phone number.

"Your feedback is invaluable in shaping the priorities and direction for our community in the coming fiscal year."
